Let me start this conversation with a BIG, “I HATE COVID-19”! I think that is something we can all get behind. And by the way, I won’t be satisfied until we have scrubbed it totally off this planet.

Today, I am blessed to be alive and working from our HQ. I am vaccinated, back in my real office with my work buddies, taking lunch meetings, seeing people in the flesh, planning travel and loving every moment of it. I said it! I love going to work— as in getting dressed, saying bye-bye to the family and driving into Philly.

Seriously, I don’t want to ever go back to taking over my kids play area as an office. I was persona non grata for a long time. The day I got vaccinated was the day I was sent packing to the office (I was smiling on the way out). I also do not want to do any of the following ever, ever again:

  1. Wipe down groceries.
  2. Wear a mask to see my parents.
  3. Shop for a hazmat suit on amazon (my wife stopped that purchase).
  4. Follow social media groups on what stores had inventory of: Lysol, toilet paper or paper towels.
  5. Fight with my teenagers on the proper definition of “Social Distancing.”
  6. Open doors with tissues.
  7. Remind myself to not rub my eyes or stick my finger up my nose (I am not a nose picker any more than you are). Nose picking can cost you your life.
  8. Eat outdoors in January.
    …and there are many more.

This is not a victory note. I know we still have a tough road to recovery ahead. But it does feel great to know that the light at the end of the tunnel is getting much brighter for us each day.

With light comes the so-called “Pent Up Demand” that many of us have been patiently waiting for. It’s arrived for food services, travel and (YES) the legal services industry. While Magna successfully navigated the pandemic with virtual court reporters for depositions and supported online mocks with our patented product, JuryConfirm, I can promise you we are beyond excited to get back in the field in a safe manner. To that end, we have been recently involved with (in-person) CLE’s, deselecting jurors, running shadow juries, sitting second and third chair during trial, staffing war rooms, hosting brick and mortar mocks/focus groups and a lot more. And guess what… more depos are coming back to the office. While “Litigation Support” services aren’t experiencing a run like we all saw with ketchup, it would be prudent to start picking your dates sooner than later. Every day, I am hearing about courts reopening or implementing a hybrid plan to move the legal process forward. Nobody likes a cheeseburger without ketchup and the same goes for your cases. I’ll get you the ketchup with your trial consultant.

Yes, I am trying to do a little selling here— but I promise it is for your own good. Call me, your local rep or dial my toll free (866.624.6221) to talk about getting a project on the schedule now.

Stay healthy, enjoy the summer and keep on scrubbing COVID-19 out of our lives forever (I can’t go back to the playroom.)
