As we publish this edition of MagnaFYI, we find ourselves at a remarkable moment in our country’s and Magna’s history.

In 2026, our nation celebrates the 250th anniversary of our founding fathers’ new republican system of government—what they famously called the “great experiment.” It is a time to honor the past while looking ahead to the opportunities and challenges that will define our future.

This year also marks an important transition for Magna. After nearly two decades of leadership, service, and innovation, our co-founder, Peter Hecht, has retired. Peter’s vision, entrepreneurial spirit, and unwavering commitment helped build Magna into the trusted organization it is today. His influence extends far beyond the company he helped create, and we join our colleagues, clients, and friends in thanking him for his extraordinary contributions and wishing him all the best in retirement.

With change comes new opportunity. We are pleased to introduce ourselves as the new co-editors of MagnaFYI. Together, we look forward to continuing the tradition of sharing insights, ideas, and stories from across Magna while highlighting the people, innovations, and expertise that help our clients succeed every day.

As Magna continues to evolve, our commitment remains unchanged: delivering exceptional service, embracing innovation, and helping our clients navigate an increasingly complex litigation environment. We are excited about what lies ahead and grateful for the opportunity to continue to help shape and tell Magna’s story.
